Depends on what you're after, it's a lot more personal than Facebook is and you can get to talk/ask questions to anyone. I'm mainly using it to follow design studios and designers I like, to see latest trends and if any positions crop up (which quite often they do, annoyingly senior designer positions mostly though). I do like it. And plus you don't get half of the riff raff that you do get on facebook! Give it a go maybe and see if you like it?
